Accreditation and Awards

Assunta Hospital’s mission is to deliver quality healthcare to its patient. In pursuit of this, we have been conferred a few awards and have also been accredited quality standards by authoritative institutions and government bodies.

First Private Hospital to be Awarded MS ISO 9002

In 1996, Assunta Hospital was the first hospital in Malaysia to be awarded the ISO 9002 Certification in a special ceremony graced by the then Minister of Health, YB Datuk Chua Jui Meng. Assunta Hospital was acknowledged by the Malaysian Book of Records being the first hospital in Malaysia to receive this accreditation.

As part of continuous dedication for improvement, the hospital has maintained the certification till today, under ISO 9001. ISO 9002 is currently obsolete and superseded by ISO 9001 revision.

MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard

Assunta Hospital was awarded a full three-year accreditation in 2004 by the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) for its recognition of meeting the MSQH Standards of providing safe and quality health care and facilities.

National Creativity and Innovation Award

Assunta Hospital was presented with the National Creativity & Innovation Award in March 2004.

Tun Tan Cheng Lock College of Nursing (TTCL) was accredited by the National Accreditation Board (Lembaga Akreditasi Negara)

Tun Tan Cheng Lock College of Nursing (TTCL) was accredited by the National Accreditation Board (Lembaga Akreditasi Negara) in 2005. The accreditation was given in recognition of Assunta’s commitment to excellence in nursing education.

Brand Laureate Award

Assunta Hospital was the proud recipient of the prestigious 2008-2009 Brand Laureate Award under the category of Best Brands in Healthcare.

Excellence Award in Marketing, PR or Promotional Project

Asian Hospital Management Awards (HMA) Assunta Hospital was bestowed the prestigious “Marketing, PR, or Promotional Project” award by Hospital Management Asia (HMA) at the 9th Annual Asian Hospital Management Awards Night held in Seoul on 20th August 2010.

The project was Passionately YOU project, a breast cancer and cervical cancer awareness campaign. The project was short-listed out of a total of 281 projects submitted by 58 hospitals from 10 Asia Pacific countries

Excellence Award in Service Improvement for Interntal Customers Project

Assunta Hospital was the proud recipient of a prestigious award conferred by the Hospital Management Asia (HMA) at the Tenth HMA Awards Night held September 8, 2011 at the Resorts World Convention Centre in Singapore. Assunta Hospital was proclaimed as the winner for successfully implementing an eco-friendly working environment in the HMA award category of “Service Improvement for Internal Customers Project”.

Assunta Hospital was the ONLY Malaysian hospital to be shortlisted out of a total of 315 projects submitted by 84 hospitals from 11 countries.

Anugerah Kolej Cemerlang Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan 2012 (Emerald Award)

Tun Tan Cheng Lock College of Nursing has been awarded the inaugural Anugerah Kolej Cemerlang Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan 2012 (Emerald Award) by the Malaysian Nursing Board on the 6th October 2012. This achievement marks more than 50 years of providing excellence in Nursing Education in the nation. Besides that, the college also obtained a certificate of recognition for The Best Overall Performance for 3 Consecutive Years by scoring a 100% passing rate in the Malaysian Nursing Board Examination.

Hand Hygiene Excellence Award

In 2013, the hospital was awarded the Hand Hygiene Excellence Award during the Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC) conference in Taiwan.

Excellence Award In Corporate Social Responsibility Project

In 2013, Assunta Hospital was bestowed the Excellence Award in Corporate Social Responsibility Project Category by Hospital Management Asia (HMA) at the 12th Annual Asian Awards Night held in Bangkok, Thailand.

MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard

In 2014, the hospital underwent the 4th MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standards and was awarded a full four-year accreditation status.

Top 10 Private Hospital In Malaysia

Assunta Hospital is recognised and listed in the Top 10 Private Hospitals in Malaysia by iBanding Services Sdn Bhd (iBanding), an independent, knowledge-based insurance education provider. The ranking was done independently in social media with ratings and reviews provided by individuals who have experienced all hospitals services.

Malaysia Health and Wellness Brand Awards 2022 (Nursing Category)

On 23rd December 2022, Assunta Hospital has been awarded Malaysia Health And Wellness Brand Awards, under Nursing Services Category due to its dedication in providing outstanding nursing services.

Hospital of The Year – Community at Heart Award

On 26th July 2023, Assunta Hospital was awarded the Hospital of the Year – Community at Heart by CSR Malaysia and World Sustainability Community in conjunction to Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2023. Assunta Hospital received this award due to its dedication for impactful contributions towards society.

On 15th November 2023, Assunta Hospital was awarded Malaysia Health and Wellness Award 2023, under Digital Healthcare Category. Assunta Hospital received this award due to its achievements, innovations and advancements in the field of healthcare technology and digital health solutions.
