Dietary risk has always been the leading driver of deaths and disability worldwide. In 2019, the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) found out that 50.1% of Malaysian adults are either overweight or obese, and that means 1 in every 2 people! Besides, overall prevalence of diabetes, hypertension and hypercholesterolemia among the nation have also been increasing over the years, namely 18.3%, 30.0% and 38.1 % respectively.
